Basic Purpose: 

The position is responsible for the execution of user acceptance testing for various projects within Ecommerce.  It provides operational, technical, and administrative support for Talbots’ digital platforms. This position ensures the highest level of accuracy in testing and implementing new systems and changes to existing systems in an ever changing environment.  

 

Principal Accountabilities

  •        Report and track incidents (defects) in TFS*
  •         Advise manager if  issues  arise that are hampering testing progress i.e. showstopper defects, environmental issues
  •        Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing IT with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and resolve
  •        Document all results and supporting evidence for each test executed
  •         Log detected defects with sufficient supporting evidence for technical investigation
  •        Perform re-execution of test scripts when fixes released into UAT environment
  •        Report testing results and issues in a timely and accurate manner
  •        Perform re-execution of test scripts when fixes released into Staging environment
  •        Set up web promotions as needed*

Job Requirements

Education/Experience/Knowledge

  •        Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
  •        Knowledge and experience normally acquired by the completion of a high school degree plus minimum of 2 years related experience
  •        Ability to operating independently, without close supervision, but also work as part of a team
  •        Excellent written and oral communication skills
  •        Good time management and attention to detail
  •        Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills as it pertains to testing
